About us

How did I start?

Sarahs Scent Crafts was born from a project to keep me busy during the first lockdown of 2020.

I'd always loved crafting hobbies and had a big love for candles. For me, there was nothing better than settling down in a cozy corner with a good book and a scented candle.

I have a tendency to gravitate towards the sweet smells as I work with pasty and cakes a lot. My personal favourites being cake based smells.

While I was between classes I started making melts for myself to keep me busy. After a while I began to sell my melts and thus Sarahs Scent Crafts was born.

It has been an incredible journey and thanks to the support of my amazing customers I am now able to open my own website.

Over the past two years I've grown to include reed diffusers, car fresheners and I've got some ideas for the future. So let's see how it goes!

Handmade

As my products are handmade and I am currently the only "employee" at Sarah's Scent Crafts it can take me 3-5 working days to make, film and package orders before they are ready to dispatch as I have to fit this around my full time job too. I am a slight perfectionist so I want to make sure your order is at the best it can be before I'm ready to send it.

Sustainability

As a small business my environmental impact is a big concern. I try to make my products as sustainable and eco friendly where possible.

My packaging materials are sourced from responsible suppliers, are often made from recycled materials and are recyleable themselves. The wrapers for my wax melts can be recycled and composted! So can the packaging peanuts which are also water soluble. My waxes are sourced from uk based companies, produced locally and are biodegradable.

I'm always looking for ways to further reduce my environmental impact so if you have any suggestions I would love to hear them.

Photography

I am really lucky that my mum is a photographer! We work together on my product photos and I couldn't be more pleased with the results.
